Jane McCormickJane teaches a strong, heat-cultivating Vinyasa style yoga class. She has an intuitive teaching style which focuses on integrating alignment, acceptance and intuition, core strength and grace, and focus and surrender. She also has a fascination with Ayurveda, Indian mythology, tantric yoga theories and psychology relating to somatic awareness and embodiment which she weaves into waves of the dynamic Vinyasa flow. As a teacher, her intention is to guide her students to a seamless relationship with themselves, in result: embodiment. Jane was raised in an earth-based culture with a strong Native American Indian influence. She instinctually places a great importance on roots and the connection to the earth. Jane has been known to use music to cultivate awareness of the internal rhythm that is always present. The music can range from electronic grooves, funk, blues and traditional Indian chants. Jane believes in the benefits that can be cultivated through a committed yoga practice on the level of the individual all the way out to the community. She truly believes a consistent yoga practice will increase the quality of your life and every person that interfaces with you. Jane has completed Shiva Rea’s Advanced Teacher Training, Yoga Works’ Teacher Training Course, Sacred Movement’s Teacher Training Course, Kali Ray Tri Yoga Teacher Training, and participated in numerous workshops for many years.
