CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


VINYASA FLOW ~ Our Signature Class. A vigourous style of Yoga linking breath and movement through a creative, flowing sequence of Yoga postures. Be prepared to sweat!

SUNRISE YOGA FLOW ~ Awaken your senses and start the day with sun salutations and a flowing series of dynamic asanas (postures).

HATHA YOGA ~ A gentle class that combines Yoga postures, relaxation, breath control and meditation that will help you develop strength, balance, flexibility and increase concentration. Ideal for beginners and seniors.

HAPPY BACK YOGA ~ A specialty class designed to promote optimal back health using alignment based Yoga combined with specific Purna Yoga sequences including the Hip Series, Morning Series, Low Back Series and the Reversing the Aging of the Spine Series using the Yoga Wall. Each class is unique and emphasizes poses that create space in the spine and relieve tension in the upper and lower back and neck. This class is safe for any one with back pain, disc herniations, disc degeneration, scoliosis and post operative conditions.

KUNDALINI YOGA ~ This ancient technology integrates gentle Yoga postures with meditation, mantras, and pranayama (breathing techniques) to energize the nervous system and improve brain function and mental clarity. Recommended for all levels.

YIN YOGA ~ A Taoist form of Yoga that targets the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and spine. At a gentle, soothing pace floor postures are held for longer periods of time (3-5min) to facilitate deeper opening.

CANCER THERAPY YOGA ~ This gentle class offers inspiration, bonding and a gentle yoga experience for women and men diagnosed with cancer. Includes breathing exercises, slow stretches, healing yoga sequences, restorative yoga and balancing work appropriate during and after cancer treatment. Soothing music, rejuvenating postures and deep relaxation are combined to calm and rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit. Suggested donation: $10

 

 

PRENATAL YOGA ~ Prepare your body for birth and motherhood and relief the aches & pains related to pregnancy through gentle postures and stretches in a nurturing and safe environment. Recommended after the first trimester.

COMMUNITY CLASS ~ All level Vinyasa Flow class taught by graduates from our Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training course. Reduced fee: $5 per class. Tuesdays at 8pm & Sundays at 6pm.
