Yoga for Pregnancy

 

Yoga for Pregnancy is currently offered on Wednesdays at 4:00-5:15pm taught by master prenatal teacher Vicki Abrams

What to expect

Prepare your body for birth and motherhood and relief the aches & pains related to pregnancy through gentle Yoga postures, stretches, meditation and breathing in a nurturing and safe environment guided by an experienced teacher, author and mother of four.  We recommend this class after your first trimester and as with any exercise during pregnancy please check with your physician that Yoga is appropriate for you. 

note: Pre-registration or prior Yoga experience is not needed. We provide Yoga mats (if you don't have one) and all other props.

 

About your teacher

Vicki Abrams is a certified Yoga teacher, certified childbirth educator & lactation consultant, doula and Director of the Childbirth Program at Chopra Center for Well Being.  Through her warm and caring presence, Vicki creates a special environment allowing moms-to-be to connect with themselves and their babies, address their concerns and joys and learn how to use their breath as their most powerful ally. 

Vicki co-authored of the popular book "Magical Beginnings, Enchanted Lives" with Deepak Chopra, MD.

What does it cost

Your first class is free. Drop ins are $18, student/military discount is $14.

Most students purchase a class series: 5-class series for $70 or 10-class series for $130, which can also be used for all other classes at Prana - before or after birth.  

Other suitable classes during pregnancy are: Hatha Yoga on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8:30am and Sundays at 4:30pm; and Happy Back Yoga on Fridays at 10am, taught by prenatal teacher Arati Lane.
